Austria, Imperial. A Bravery Medal, Gold Grade, C.1860 Newly Listed the reverse depicting the outline(Tapferkeitmedaille). Instituted on 19 July 1789. Type II. (1859 1866 Issue). A round, gilded silver medal, the obverse centre presenting a left facing profile of Franz Joseph I, circumscribed by FRANZ JOSEPH I. V. G. G. KAISER V. OESTERREICH, the reverse centre presents the inscription DER TAPFERKEIT (FOR BRAVERY), measuring 40. 50 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original tri fold ribbon, and in very fine condition. This offering
