It was described in 2023 and is known from Caldas, especially the Selva de Florencia area near Saman, where it grows in wet tropical forest edge habitat at around 1200 to 1400 m elevation. Stenospermation albifolium has erect leaves with elliptic, leathery blades that are dark green above and pale green to whitish beneath, with many visible lateral veins. Mature
